Does fairlife ultra-filtered milk include added protein?

No, we never add protein powders or concentrates. All the protein in our fairlife ultra-filtered milk comes directly from the milk. Our ultra-filtration process concentrates the natural milk proteins (80% casein and 20% whey) while removing half of the sugars compared to regular milk.

How did fairlife start?

Why does fairlife ultra-filtered milk come in a 52oz bottle and not a 64oz half gallon or full gallon?

We designed our bottle to be as unique as our milk. While it’s an unusual size, we ensure that its contents offer the best possible nutrition and taste.
Why do fairlife products have such a long shelf life?

We pasteurize our milk at a slightly higher temperature for a shorter time than conventional milk. This process, combined with our carefully designed packaging, extends our products’ shelf life while maintaining freshness and taste. Once opened, our products should be treated like regular milk.
Are fairlife products shelf stable?

Our ultra-filtration and aseptic packaging allow Core Power, Nutrition Plan, and 14oz Ultra-Filtered Milk to be shelf stable for several months. Our 52oz bottle has an extended shelf life compared to regular milk but requires refrigeration. After opening, all fairlife products should be refrigerated and consumed within 14 days.

In our ultra-filtered milk, we use carrageenan as a stabilizer to ensure consistent taste and texture. It prevents protein separation during storage and transportation.

Animal Care
Does fairlife own dairy farms?

No, as a milk processor, fairlife does not own farms or cows. We partner with dairy co-ops in geographies where we have plant locations to source milk for fairlife products.
What are the animal welfare requirements for farms that supply to fairlife?

All co-op member farms that supply to fairlife must continually adhere to fairlife’s stringent animal care expectations and be FARM and Validus certified from 3rd party auditors.

Because we do not own or operate the farms that supply milk to fairlife, we rely on regular audits for consistent oversight. We also work with partner farms to implement cutting-edge technology solutions to monitor areas of cow-human interaction.

All supplying farms to our dairy co-ops must also have signed Cow Care agreements that require all farm employees to adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for animal abuse.
How do you select supplying farms?

fairlife does not own farms or cows and partners with dairy co-ops to source milk from their member farms. fairlife receives milk from co-op member farms that undergo a series of routine assessments and are committed to continuous improvement outcomes.
